What You’ll Need

How to Brew a Traditional Cup

  1. Heat water to 200-205F. Rinse the paper filter with hot water to remove any paper taste and preheat the brewer. Pour out excess water.

  2. Grind & add 12g of coffee (about 1 heaping tablespoon) to the AeroPress chamber and level the brew bed.

  3. Start timer, and pour 250g of water into the chamber, making sure that all the grounds are evenly saturated.

  4. Attach the plunger to the top to create a vacuum, and wait 2 minutes.

  5. Gently swirl the brewer, and wait 30 seconds before pressing the plunger down slowly and steadily until you hear a slight hissing sound.

  6. Swirl your brewed coffee, pour into your favorite mug, and enjoy!

Quick Tips

  • Rinsing the filter removes paper taste & preheats your brewer for better extraction.

  • Stirring the coffee before attaching the plunger can enhance body and richness - try different techniques to find your ideal balance.

  • If your coffee is tasting weak or sour: grind finer, stir the coffee, or increase brew time.

  • If your coffee is tasting too bitter or heavy: grind coarser, use slightly cooler water, or decrease the brew time.
